BLACK TIE KENNELS Where breeding, training, and handling is a formal affair
CH. Lebeck DelMar's Eisenhower ROM CGC TDI RN "Howie"
Ch. ElRay's Ike CGC X Ch. Reingolds Popcorn
Howie retired from the show ring shortly after his first birthday to pursue a career in obedience. He started competing in the spring of 2004. We expect great successes for him in the future. Howie is also a Therapy Dogs International certified therapy dog. He has not worked in a therapy capacity as of yet but plans to very soon. In Spring of 2008 Howie began competing in Rally Obedience and in just three shows earned his Rally Novice title. We are planning to take him all the way through the various levels of Rally-O and at the very least the Novice level of Obedience and perhaps dable a bit in Agility in the comming year.
Howie's success has not been limited to the rings, he has also produced two champion children at Gembox kennels. His son Ch. Gembox's Salute to the General "Solider" went best puppy in show at the Tibetan Spaniel National Specialty dog show in 2003. His Daughter Ch. Gembox's Mystic Jewel was bred here at DelMar Kennels and produced 5 wonderful puppies. Another daughter, who is a beautiful parti color, at Gembox is well on her way to completing her championship. Ch. BlackTies Army of One, "Sarge" is a multi group placer and is still competing in the conformation ring. He is the first Tibetan Spaniel champion to carry BlackTie as his kennel name. In Seattle Washington Howie has a daughter, DelMar's Blacktie Double Agent, who is doing very well in the conformation ring and is also almost finished with her championship.
Howie had 5 great grandpuppies born in January of 2008 and we are expecting just as much success from them as Howie has had.
